Letter to Stewart

We've had a complete technological breakdown at our home - so you get an email letter this week - because 1) the printer isn't working and 2) the big computer needs a new hard drive, lucky for us it has a back-up current as of July 6, 2015 (hopefully nothing important has been saved in the last couple of week) 3) and Dad's iphone died and he had to get a new one 4) then about a week ago our internet went out and we were with out internet for 3 days. It's amazing how much we rely on technology just to get through our day.

(I did put a letter from Sydney in the mail today though) - I guess now that you've been out over a year, it's time the mail slowed down anyway :)  I've been watching the weather in Oviedo, just for fun.  you've dodged a bullet - it's gorgeous up there and hotter than heck down in Madrid.  You should feel very grateful for passing the entire summer up on the northern coast.

We had 3 girls get baptized today in our ward.  The Elders and Sisters from our Stake ran the entire baptism and did such a nice job!  I kept seeing your face up there as the missionaries shared their testimonies and gave talks on baptism and the holy ghost.  Both Sisters are from outside the US and one has a pretty heavy accent.  I wondered what your Spanish must sound like?  It was really nice and such a great spirit - it's hard not to have the spirit when there's a baptism.  I hope these girls do well - they are actually moving with their family to LV this week so they have to meet new friends and start in a new ward just after their baptism.

Jason had his appendix out this week.  He has suffered with so much bad health these past several months.  It's been very discouraging for him.  They've moved out of their house into Annie's Moms house and hopefully this will take some of the stress off of things.

We tried to not have too much fun this week so you wouldn't miss summer, so I included plenty of pictures of us working in the yard!  We actually (or Dad rather) mad some significant progress on the sprinklers in the side yard.  I think when we get back from Newport we can get ready to put in the sod.  That would be cool!

Emma was at beehive brighton camp this week with Kendra.  They had a fabulous time!  We celebrated Grandma's 68th birthday at the Lions Center Swimming Pool.  Dad and i are training for a century bike ride in September so I took a couple of longish rides.  A 30 mile ride with Bonnie from our home up to the top of Emmigration Canyon and a 35 miles ride with Dad along the Jordan River Parkway to 10000 South then up to the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon.  Wow - I'm bushed.  I don't know if I'll be able to keep this up until the race.

Blake comes home from his mission Thursday night.  We leave for the Beach and Disneyland Thursday morning - so we won't see him until they get to Newport sometime on Saturday.  Monday I leave for Girl's Camp with Emma and Maren.  Needless to say it's going to be a fun, crazy 2 weeks :)  I'm certain I won't get any snail mail sent off, but I'll try and get some postcards off.

I love you so much!  So glad that you are happy, healthy, working hard, and enjoying your mission.  Life in SLC goes on.  Catherine Frazier is pregnant (I'm pretty sure I told you that) - she's having another boy!

Love you tons!
