Dear Stewart;
It
sounds like things are going well in Oviedo. I’ve been reading a bit about Spain and didn’t realize the
heavy Celtic influence in the north (I guess hence the bagpipes). That’s really neat. Do they wear a kilt too? J I’m glad you are constantly looking for
ways to serve and love your investigators, companion, and the members. (I got your email today about having
bought Jesus The Christ for one of them.)
At the end of this email I’ve listed the rules for some of the FHE games
you could do with your branch.
We’ve
had a busy last few days of school – as can be expected. I’ve been to Mom meeting for Concert
Choir, Dance Company, Tennis Team, Soccer Team. We’ve had 2 dance recitals and 2 piano recitals. Wow – good thing I have kids or might
actually get bored. Sydney tried
out for a comp. soccer team for next season and made it (Joga is the
club). Of course, I think everyone
her age made it. Maren plans to
sing in the choir, play tennis, and she is captain of the PF team in
Debate. Emma will be dance at the
OJH dance company and she auditions on Saturday to dance with the company of
her dance studio. Charlie plans to
have a lemonade stand every day this summer and make millions J
This
past Sunday we had the Senior’s Breakfast at Bishop Grimm’s hacienda out
back. It was really nice! Cassidy, Hogan, & Robby are all
graduation and moving on. Cassidy
got on the BYU track and field team with a scholarship! Hogan got a scholarship to play
football at the LDS Virginia University (can’t remember it’s name – the one
that kept calling you). He plans
to leave on his mission after Christmas.
And Robby of course is going on his mission the middle of July. All super good kids off to do great
things. It was really nice to hear
their testimonies and their parent’s testimonies.
Grandpa
Frazier has a hernia repaired last Friday. He’s doing good, but because he’s 72
and has Parkinson’s the recovery is a bit slower. Grandma is a good nurse to him.
I’ve
been busy planning the YM/YW youth conference for this summer. I’m really excited about it. We are staying at a lodge in the
mountains near Sundance up Provo Canyon.
As our activities we will be doing a zip line in Provo Canyon, rafting
the Provo River, going to 7-peaks water resort, and hiking to Stewart
Falls. In between all those fun
things we have night games, bon fires, testimony meetings and motivational
speakers. Should be SUPER fun!
Time
to get this letter out the door!
Last week of school has gotten us all of schedule. Maren’s home today – not knowing what
to do. I guess I’d better start
writing out the jobs!
Love Ya,
Mom
